Certified!

Yesterday we basked in this pretty sight because…

… ALL of our documents are now state certified!

The kids were really well-behaved. I like to bring them to things like this… it gets you faster service because people want to get you outta there…

And amazingly we were in & out…

…and now it’s all en route to Houston for authentication. Progress!

Baby Steps

Thought it would be fun whenever I don’t have any new pics, to post some from the recent past. In this case, when we lived in Charleston. Jo was so small and Seb wasn’t born yet.

Yesterday we had 9 documents notarized, then we went over to the Superior Court to have them certified. Our notary called over there first to tell them we were coming- she is really awesome!

All I’m going to say about courts is that they’re still functioning as *efficiently* as I remember. We decided not to go to the Secretary of State, but to wait a few months for our I-800A (approval to bring a foreign child into the US) to arrive before we get everything state certified.

Final home study visit was yesterday too. It went great!

Also, just a reminder that Q&A is ongoing. I will soon be addressing the topic of “special needs” specifically. Please feel free to post your question as a comment!
