Our dossier is finished and CCAI has it. Here’s what was in it:
Adoption Petition, Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificate, Employment Verifications, Financial Statement, Physical Exams, Police Reports, I-797 (immigration approval), Home Study, 3 passport pictures each, 3 couple photos, 8 family life photos, $3350 (agency fee + CCCA fee).
All documents have been “sealed” meaning they’ve been notarized, state certified (County Court and Superior Court), and authenticated (Chinese Consulate). Lets hope CCAI doesn’t find any errors.
Next steps: in Denver, further review, binding, translation… then on to China.
The next update should tell our “DTC” (date dossier is sent to China) and 2-4 wks after that, our “LID” (log-in date, or date China ‘logged’ our dossier into their system).
Major hurdle passed! And we did it in just four months- phew.
