After the rain…
time to make mud pies!
Jordan has been re-learning Mandarin during his commute to work through Chinese Pod. It sounds very practical and not at all like those high school French textbooks that were full of useless phrases like, “Je ne comprends pas francais” and “Je voudrais une chambre avec douche”.
Jordan comes home murmuring Mandarin under his breath and I know he’s shifting his linguistic talents into full gear. And when it comes time to go to China, I’m sure (as I’ve seen him do many times before) he’ll effortlessly slip into it with a native speaker or two. And in doing so……… will put me to shame because I can’t speak a word!
