Time to lay off jumping the mailman every day…
Our I800A case hasn’t even been assigned an officer yet.
My guess is it’ll be about mid-October.
There are other things that could be done in the meantime.
Like mass photocopying, getting pictures and passport pictures done.
But it’s a lot easier to just check the mail every day!
We got our fingerprints appointment notice yesterday for 9/28.
But we’d heard of families walking in early, so we decided to try our luck.
Well we had no trouble getting printed this morning. We then let USCIS know we got it done early. The hope is that this should result in our I800A being processed faster.
We only waited about an hour but that’s a long time for kids. You’re not even allowed to bring a purse in there, therefore no snacks, or little toys or anything else that could be used to amuse them.
So they just sat and stared at silently observed everyone else there.
They did really, really well.
And we’re one procedural step closer!
